This is SO out of control it’s unbelievable.<\/p>\n

Bottom line, they’ve just posted a podcast of my In The City rant at the iTunes Music Store.\u00c2\u00a0 You’ve got to know, this took place earlier than I usually wake up.\u00c2\u00a0 There were not as many people in attendance as I expected\/wanted.\u00c2\u00a0 A bit pissed off and SO revved up I spewed a blue streak.\u00c2\u00a0 And I figured it went into the ether to be forgotten forevermore.<\/p>\n

But now it’s all been resurrected.\u00c2\u00a0 So those of you NOT in Manchester in October can hear it.<\/p>\n

Got to tell you, at first I was embarrassed.\u00c2\u00a0 But this performance is SO over the top, it stands on its own.\u00c2\u00a0 It’s my Richard Pryor concert special.\u00c2\u00a0 Something done to a fan base that most people are unaware of.<\/p>\n

Oh, the podcast goes on and on.\u00c2\u00a0 There’s even a question and answer period at the end.\u00c2\u00a0 But if you’re at all interested in what I have to say, my act, you’ve got to listen to this.\u00c2\u00a0 You’re going to hear my complete philosophy.\u00c2\u00a0 You’re going to hear me rake personalities over the coals.\u00c2\u00a0 You’re going to hear a guy so ON that when he goes OFF he’s going to crash.\u00c2\u00a0 Which I did.<\/p>\n

I know, I know, I know…this sounds like self-hype.\u00c2\u00a0 And maybe it is.\u00c2\u00a0 But I don’t mean it this way.\u00c2\u00a0 It’s just the fact that I wasn’t doing it for posterity.\u00c2\u00a0 The fact that I was doing it privately.\u00c2\u00a0 Allowed me to catch lightning in a bottle.\u00c2\u00a0 Irrelevant of content, it’s performance art.\u00c2\u00a0 It’s so IN YOUR FACE that I can barely listen to it myself.\u00c2\u00a0 Wondering who the hell the person coming out of the speakers IS!<\/p>\n

If for some reason this doesn’t work, launch iTunes.\u00c2\u00a0 Go into the iTunes Music Store.\u00c2\u00a0 Search on "In The City".\u00c2\u00a0 When the results come up, click on "Podcasts" in the grey bar just above the results.\u00c2\u00a0 When the new results page comes up, click on "In The City" under "Authors" at the top of the left-hand side of the page.\u00c2\u00a0 Then, on this final results page, click on podcast number 2, i.e., me, "Bob Lefsetz The Keynote Rant".<\/p>\n

OR, after searching on "In The City" on the main iTunes Music Store page, on the right-hand side of the results page, you’ll see "In The City 2005…"\u00c2\u00a0 Click on the black icon, the album cover, this will take you to the ultimate podcast page, where you can click on my podcast.<\/p>\n

For anybody with a MODICUM of computer competence, this should be NO PROBLEM!\u00c2\u00a0 Hell, if you’re an exec trumpeting the virtues of digital downloads and you can’t find this podcast turn in your badge IMMEDIATELY!<\/p>\n

I’m not sure I know the guy in this podcast.\u00c2\u00a0 But I DO know, if you stick with it, you’ll be edified and entertained.\u00c2\u00a0 There’s not a big hit single right up top.\u00c2\u00a0 There aren’t 120 beats per minute (although you CAN hear me banging my hand on the podium on a regular basis).\u00c2\u00a0 It’s like an album.\u00c2\u00a0 It’s an entire piece.\u00c2\u00a0 That you will be satisfied upon hearing.\u00c2\u00a0 Will you want to hear it again?\u00c2\u00a0 Probably doubtful.\u00c2\u00a0 But you WILL talk about it with other people, ask DID YOU HEAR WHAT LEFSETZ SAID?\u00c2\u00a0 It’s my own little cult act developing right in front of your very eyes.\u00c2\u00a0 With no corporate endorsement, no feature in "Rolling Stone", no appearance on "The Today Show".\u00c2\u00a0 It works solely because that wasn’t the motivation, to create something that hooks you.\u00c2\u00a0 I just did.\u00c2\u00a0 Like a band going into the studio for the first time not knowing WHAT the fuck they’re doing but coming out with a record that touches your heart and soul.<\/p>\n

I don’t pretend to be able to touch you the way a great song does.\u00c2\u00a0 I’m in awe of that power.\u00c2\u00a0 But for a debut, this is about the best I can do.\u00c2\u00a0 I think the nakedness and the honesty will reach you.<\/p>\n
