Best Second Albums EVER (or, No Sophomore Slumps!): Those Artists Whose Second Albums Topped Their Strong Debuts (or at least gave it a run for its money!).<\/p>\n
As the cliche goes, “You have your whole life to write your first album, and only eighteen months to write your second one!”, so the pressure\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s on when it comes time to follow up that strong debut release. We’re going to explore some of the best one-two punches in the history of popular music. You may agree; you may disagree; and maybe you have a few that we haven’t thought of! Remember, the artist must have a good first AND second album\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6we\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re not looking at One Hit Wonders, or Strong Growers (those who grew dramatically between their first and second albums)\u00e2\u20ac\u00a6Those are different themes altogether!<\/p>\n
