Kelly<\/p>\n<p>Wait a second.\u00c2\u00a0 Everybody else in America is guilty until proven innocent, <br \/>but R. Kelly gets a pass?\u00c2\u00a0 If you&#8217;re talented your actions in your personal life <br \/>are IRRELEVANT?<\/p>\n<p>I mean there&#8217;s a lot of evidence.\u00c2\u00a0 About as much as there was with O.J.\u00c2\u00a0 But, <br \/>TV doesn&#8217;t constantly parade the Juice for ratings.<\/p>\n<p>Innocent until proven guilty.\u00c2\u00a0 But, if someone is gonna make you money, you <br \/>give them the key to the gate and treat them like royalty when they enter the <br \/>building.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, last time I checked R. Kelly could actually sing.\u00c2\u00a0 What&#8217;s up with <br \/>the lip-synch?<\/p>\n<p>They say the public doesn&#8217;t care.<\/p>\n<p>And people don&#8217;t.\u00c2\u00a0 That&#8217;s how lame they think music and the industry that <br \/>supports it are.<\/p>\n<p \/>\n<p>Suge<\/p>\n<p>An hour and a half into it, and still no mention of last night&#8217;s shenanigans.<\/p>\n<p company evaporated and <br \/>no one believes in him anymore?\u00c2\u00a0 Shouldn&#8217;t it be a rule if your company <br \/>disappears you can go to?\u00c2\u00a0 Isn&#8217;t selling your contract to somebody else kind of <br \/>like slavery?\u00c2\u00a0 Elektra believed in Jason, made him a heartthrob.\u00c2\u00a0 I bet most of <br \/>the people who bought his last record don&#8217;t even know his new one is out.<\/p>\n<p>Joss Stone.\u00c2\u00a0 All she&#8217;s got his her celebrity.\u00c2\u00a0 That second record was a <br \/>disaster.\u00c2\u00a0 She&#8217;s a celebrity, not a musician.\u00c2\u00a0 A spokesmodel.\u00c2\u00a0 And, you KNOW there <br \/>are black kids who sing better but will never get a chance, never mind not as <br \/>good-looking white people.<\/p>\n<p>The nineties are over.\u00c2\u00a0 All exposure is not good exposure.\u00c2\u00a0 The GAP looks <br \/>good here, the acts don&#8217;t.\u00c2\u00a0 The acts look exactly like they are, they&#8217;re shills.\u00c2\u00a0 <br \/>Doing whatever it takes to remain famous, to stay in the public eye.<\/p>\n<p>Does anybody have any integrity anymore?\u00c2\u00a0 Can anybody say no?<\/p>\n<p>God, watching this show you&#8217;d think the way to make it is to shoot someone <br \/>and then make a endorsement deal with every corporation known to man.<\/p>\n<p>Wait a second, that IS how you make it.<\/p>\n<p \/>\n<p>Biggie<\/p>\n<p>Okay, now Puffy&#8217;s a conductor?<\/p>\n<p>If Biggie can sing years after he died maybe he can host next year&#8217;s show.\u00c2\u00a0 <br \/>They can do amazing things with special effects these days.<\/p>\n<p>Right now there are MTV execs scratching their chins saying THAT&#8217;S a good <br \/>idea.\u00c2\u00a0 Biggie, Kurt&#8230;passing the mic amongst the deceased&#8230;EVERYBODY will tune <br \/>in for THAT!<\/p>\n<p \/>\n<p>Fall Out Boy<\/p>\n<p>If we can do this it means ANYBODY can do this?<\/p>\n<p>They have no idea of the truth of which they speak.<\/p>\n<p>Isn&#8217;t this the OPPOSITE of the way we want it to be?\u00c2\u00a0 Don&#8217;t we want our music <br \/>stars to be BETTER than us, more TALENTED?<\/p>\n<p>Didn&#8217;t it used to be you had to woodshed, practice, didn&#8217;t it used to be that <br \/>not everybody could be a star?<\/p>\n<p>Boy are things upside down.<\/p>\n<p>You don&#8217;t need to be talented to be a reality TV star, but you do have to <br \/>have something special, that you&#8217;ve worked on, to make it as a musician.\u00c2\u00a0 Oh, <br \/>that&#8217;s right, they&#8217;re stars, not musicians.<\/p>\n<p>Just how the labels like it.\u00c2\u00a0 Then they can CONTROL you.\u00c2\u00a0 If you actually <br \/>have some ability you can thumb your nose at them, you can survive without them.\u00c2\u00a0 <br \/>But if you&#8217;ve got nothing, you lick the butt of your enabler, you do whatever <br \/>they say.<\/p>\n<p>Hate to tell you, being famous doesn&#8217;t solve all of life&#8217;s problems.\u00c2\u00a0 Doesn&#8217;t <br \/>make you happier than everybody else.\u00c2\u00a0 Do you really want to brave a <br \/>hurricane, almost get shot at a party just to attend the VMAs in Miami and look like a <br \/>loser amongst all the other so-called stars?<\/p>\n<p \/>\n<p>Reggaeton<\/p>\n<p>Where&#8217;s the band?<\/p>\n<p>Give us ONE of these acts, not this lame medley interrupted for over the top <br \/>introductions by Fat Joe.<\/p>\n<p>And, Daddy Yankee singing to tape&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>This reminds me of Ed Sullivan.\u00c2\u00a0 Someone who doesn&#8217;t respect the music <br \/>showcasing it to look hip, to make money.<\/p>\n<p>This music only works in a club.\u00c2\u00a0 Fell flat in an arena.\u00c2\u00a0 Did you peek at the <br \/>audience?<\/p>\n<p \/>\n<p>Missy Elliott<\/p>\n<p>She actually looks hot.<\/p>\n<p \/>\n<p>More Puffy<\/p>\n<p>Wait a second, what exactly is his talent?\u00c2\u00a0 Other than staying in the public <br \/>eye, making himself famous, selling his record company again and again.<\/p>\n<p>This is just like the music business.\u00c2\u00a0 You don&#8217;t need talent to make it.\u00c2\u00a0 I <br \/>thought the host had to be FUNNY!<\/p>\n<p \/>\n<p>Coldplay<\/p>\n<p>They&#8217;re putting the audience to sleep.<\/p>\n<p>Shit, if they knew they were going to have this impact, why didn&#8217;t they play <br \/>a ballad?\u00c2\u00a0 But no, MTV wants the HIT!\u00c2\u00a0 But, they could have changed the song <br \/>at the last minute, without the suits knowing.\u00c2\u00a0 Oh, no, that&#8217;s Elvis Costello <br \/>on SNL, the guys in Coldplay don&#8217;t have those kinds of balls.\u00c2\u00a0 They play along.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, can you explain the outfits to me?<\/p>\n<p>Please, please, please, all you people flooding my inbox telling me Coldplay <br \/>is godhead, defend this performance.\u00c2\u00a0 They look positively goofy, and appear <br \/>to have about as much staying power as Haircut 100, A
