Max Martin offered it to Simon Cowell for the boy band Five. They turned it down! A year later Max offered them Bye Bye Baby.   They turned that down too!

Needless to say those geniuses decided that they would break up, and guess what, they are all back doing their day jobs. One of the most frustrating things in this business is that you can see the road forward but trying to get artists to follow it is another thing. I think that’s one of the reasons executives in America have such little respect for the act. I think some of them have just given up.
